KEC International secures three new orders worth Rs150 crore

Mumbai: KEC International Ltd has received new orders worth Rs150 crore (Rs1.5 billion) from international and domestic markets. With these orders, the company's order book has reached a record level of Rs3,000 crore (Rs30 billion).
GRTE, the power transmission division of Algerian utility company Sonelgaz, has placed an order with the company worth Rs70 crore (11.5 million euros) for supply and construction of 400 KV single circuit transmission line over a 52 km length from Ain Sefra to Mougrar. KEC also secured a turnkey contract worth Rs22 crore in Abu Dhabi for a 220 KV transmission line of 12 km from Mirfa to Ruwaison.
The West Bengal State Electricity Board has awarded the company an order worth Rs58.3 crore for supply and construction of three lines of 132 KV D/C around Haldia. KEC International is one of the largest power transmission, engineering, procurement and construction companies in the world with presence in more than fifteen countries.
The company is currently engaged in executing orders in various countries such as Abu Dhabi, Ethiopia, Libya, Kuwait, Algeria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Zambia, Oman and Nigeria. In the domestic market, KEC is already executing various orders for PGCIL, WBSEB and UPPCL, etc.
