The Bombay High Court on Monday ordered Kingfisher Airlines to deposit Rs3.6 crore with the court registrar towards dues to Lufthansa Technik for using its engine components.

Lufthansa technik, an engineering arm of Germany's Lufthansa Airlines, had moved the court claiming that Kingfisher had defaulted on paying for maintenance of their aircraft.

The Rs3.6 crore payable by Kingfisher in the court would cover the dues for three months - July, August and September 2009.

The matter has been adjourned to 6 November.

This is yet another case against Kingfisher, which has allegedly defaulted in making payments to creditors. Earlier, PSU BPCL had dragged the airline to the Bombay High Court alleging non-payment of fuel dues of Rs314 crore.

The matter is pending as Kingfisher has offered an out-of-court settlement.

In another case, in the Delhi High Court, Kingfisher has been asked to return engine components obtained from Lufthansa Technik after it dishonoured an agreement between them for maintenance and use of engine parts.
