Punjab National Bank lists 913 wilful defaulters who owe it Rs11,486 cr

State-owned Punjab National Bank on Tuesday released a list of 913 wilful defaulters, which included the now-defunct Kingfisher Ailrines and state-backed multistate cooperative Nafed.
The latest lists has 13 more defaulters and Rs486 crore more in overdue loans compared to the earlier list issued in February which named about 900 wilful defaulters, including Winsome Diamonds & Jewellery, Zoom Developers and Nafed, together owing close to Rs11,000 crore to the lender.
Top of the defaulter list is Winsome Diamonds and Jewellery with outstanding dues of Rs900.06 crore, followed by Forever Precious Jewellery & Diamonds with an outstanding of Rs747.98 crore.
The other major wilful defaulters, according to the list published by PNB, include embattled businessman Vijay Mallya's Kingfisher Airlines with an outstanding of Rs597.44 crore.
The bank had in February declared the now defunct Kingfisher Airlines and its guarantors UB Holdings and Vijay Mallya as a wilful defaulters.
Zoom Developers had an outstanding of Rs410.18 crore and Nafed had overdue loans of Rs224.26 crore.
The other major wilful defaulters include Apple Industries (Rs 248.33 crore), MBA Jewellers (Rs 266.17 crore), Ramsarup Group companies (Rs 410.62 crore), S Kumar Nationwide (Rs 146.82 crore) and Rana group companies (Rs 169.36 crore).
PNB had in the fiscal ending 31 March 2016 made a provision of Rs18,366.83 crore towards bad loans that led to a net loss of Rs3,974.39 crore for the fiscal.
