Renault uses Microsoft's Silverlight to develop its Laguna Coupé microsite

Mumbai: French automaker, Renault plans to use Microsoft's second-generation Silverlight technology with Deep Zoom feature that is said to enable unprecedented details for its Laguna Coupé microsite, www.laguna-coupe.com. Designed by the Tequilarapido agency, the  microsite will be the carmaker's first vehicle promotion site using Silverlight 2.0.

The ambitious communications plan for launch of Renault Laguna Coupé includes a web system along with many other features in the run-up to sales release scheduled for October 2008.

Microsoft Silverlight 2.0 (available as a free download) is a new-generation multimedia web technology designd to deliver an exceptional user experience including videos of very high quality. The Silverlight Deep Zoom feature offers visitors an unparalleled immersive experience, including very-high-definition photos of Renault Laguna Coupé, with capabilities for zooming in to details with no penalty on display speed.
