Swiss digital technology group Kudelski sues Apple for infringing five patents

Swiss digital technology group Kudelski has filed a lawsuit in a US court against Apple Inc for infringing five of its US patents.
The lawsuit was filed in the US District Court for the Northern District of California by Kudelski's OpenTV, Inc. and Nagravision SA subsidiaries.
Kudelski alleges that five US patents owned by OpenTV and Nagravision, are infringed by Apple's products and services, including iOS mobile devices like the iPhone, iPad, and iPod, Apple TV, App Store, iTunes, iADs, Safari, and OS X-based personal computers.
Swiss Stock Exchange-listed Kudelski is a world leader in digital security, whose technologies are used in a wide range of services and applications requiring access control and rights management to secure the revenues of content owners and service providers for digital television.
The Cheseaux-sur-Lausanne company also offers cyber security solutions and services focused on helping companies assess risks and vulnerabilities and protect their data and systems.
It holds over 4,400 issued and pending patents worldwide.
