Apple iCloud crash leaves users unable to access iTunes, app stores, other services

Apple's online stores were hit by a major crash on Thursday, cutting of users' access to the firm's iTunes and app stores.
The outage started just after 3:30 pm yesterday and users took to Twitter to complain about the services, with many unable to access their music stored on the firm's iTunes Music service.
However, several of the services had apparently been restored by 6:15 - although app stores, iCloud and Apple TV still appeared to have some trouble, according to the firm's own website.
According to Apple's system status page, multiple store services were still experiencing an outage.
The App Store, Apple TV App Store, Mac App Store, iTunes in the Cloud, and the Volume Purchase Program were not available to some users.
The crash came as Apple finally re-released an update for the iPad Pro after users complained that a previous version rendered their 9.7inch iPad Pro useless.
Apple stock has fallen sharply since mid-April, partly hit by the company's disappointing fiscal second quarter earnings, which showed a decline in revenues and the first quarterly drop ever in iPhone unit sales since 2007.
"We're looking into a small number of reports that some iPad units are receiving an error when updating the software,' an Apple spokesperson told DailyMail.com regarding the update bricking iPad Pros.
"Those unable to restore their device through iTunes should contact Apple support."
Meanwhile, Apple said all its services, including the popular App Store, had resumed after an outage that started late afternoon yesterday, Reuters reported.
Apple's US web page showed all applications had resumed as of 11:55 pm Eastern Daylight Time.
''There are no reported issues at this time,'' the company said a few minutes later on its web page.
