Man walks into Apple store and smashes iPhones, Macs
01 Oct 2016
A man used a metal ball to break screens in a shop within a French shopping centre and smashed iPhones, iPads and laptops.
The man wearing a backpack, was filmed as he walked from one tech stand to the next in a French shop and is seen in the film picking up iPhones, placing them on the counter then smashing them with a metal ball.
As he wandered around the store he smashed pieces of tech as he went around ranting in French. Finally, a security guard intercepted him and asked him what he was doing.
The man however, simply walked out of the shop.
A video of the incident posted to Twitter on Thursday had thus far received over 4,000 retweets.
The man has not been identified as yet and it was not clear where the incident took place or whether any arrests had been made.
Videos of the incident showed the same man, dressed in dark trousers, sweater, a pink t-shirt and wearing one cream glove engaged in an altercation with shopping centre security guards.
The man exclaimed in the video, "Ladies and gentlemen, Apple is a company that violated European consumers' rights."
He added, "They refused to reimburse me, I told them 'Give me my money back'. They said no. So you know what's happening? This is happening."
