Adobe plans R&D centre

Adobe Systems India Private Limited is planning a second R&D centre in India at an outlay of nearly $3 million. This will add to the four centres that the company has - San Jose and Seattle in the US, Hamburg in Germany and Delhi in India.The company has invested about the same amount in India so far.
The Delhi centre is involved in the developement of 'In Design', a professional publishing tool for magazines and publications.
The company plans to add its infrastructure and manpower in the country. Adobe is also planning to introduce its concept of 'electronic paper' during the visit of its chairman and managing director, Dr Charles M Geschke, to the country on October 8. This revolutionary concept is expected to help shift publishing and printing from paper to the computer totally.
The company has filed for one patent and is planning to file for two more shortly - related to special effects for illustration and documentation
