BSNL ties up with Microsoft for business applications

Telecom firm BSNL on Tuesday entered into a three year partnership with US technology giant Microsoft Corp under which it will offer business mail applications to its customers for Rs420 per month.
The BSNL managed business mail would provide a range of services for businesses across enterprise, SMBs and public sector segments to enhance communication coordination by enabling them to share email messages, contacts, calendars, task lists and documents from any device (PC or mobile phone), BSNL chairman and managing director Kuldeep Goyal said.
This service would be delivered through the internet - the users would save on upfront costs related to hardware, licenses and installation for their IT infrastructure, he said, according to a PTI report.
Managed Business Mail is a messaging and collaboration service for Indian businesses that would provide enterprises and SMBs with enterprise-class email applications.
