Founded in 2000, Toronto-based ConceptWave has developed leading-edge software solutions primarily for telecom operators.

ConceptWave's provides an end-to-end catalog-driven suite of order fulfillment automation software with ConceptWave Order Care and Rapid CRM.

Stockholm, Sweden-based Ericsson said that ConceptWave's software enable service providers to address competitive requirements and simplify the management of customers, products, and orders, for any product, on any network, in any market, using any channel.

Acquiring ConceptWave complements and strengthens Ericsson's offering in the area of operations-and business support systems with world leading order management and product catalog solutions.

ConceptWave has 170 employees and its customers are primarily telecom operators, who are located in Canada, the US, Latin America, Europe and Asia.

"There is a trend towards more personalisation of services where end-users want to purchase communications services meeting their individual needs. This puts high demand on telecom operators to be able to offer flexible product bundles with customized pricing packages. In this area ConceptWave's solutions and employees' expertise adds considerable value to Ericsson's portfolio," said Elisabetta Romano, head of Ericsson business unit support solutions.

Zarar Rana, president and CEO of ConceptWave, said, "Our products and solutions help maximise telecom operators' assets through the creation, implementation and automation of service fulfillment processes for new and differentiated offerings. Joining Ericsson today adds great value to ConceptWave, as we become part of their global organisation and leverage their industry-leading technology and services competence."
