Lufthansa's 2007 full-year net doubles to $2.46 billion

Lufthansa has released an initial summary of its 2007 financial results which show that the German airline group has achieved a net profit of €1.66 billion ($2.46 billion) last year, more than double the €803 million it had reported in 2006.

Revenue was up 13.1% to €22.4 billion, and group operating profit went up 63.1% to €1.38 billion from €845 million the previous year.

The company will release detailed results on March 12.
