Panalpina, Safexpress, Miebach tie up

New Delhi: Panalpina World Transport India, part of one of the world's leading providers of forwarding and logistics services specialising in international airfreight and sea freight consignments and associated supply chain management solutions, entered into a strategic alliance with India's leading logistics company Safexpress and the Miebach Consulting group (SCM consultants) in India.
The alliance links the global network of Panalpina World Transport, spanning six continents with a large network base of Safexpress in India that covers all Indian states, servicing over 400 locations. The alliance will offer 3PL/4PL and supply chain management services, backed with the technical advisory expertise of Miebach Consulting, known for integrated supply chain and logistics solutions, for pharmaceutical, information technology, automobile, fashion, retail and manufacturing sectors.
Commenting on the major tie-up in a joint press conference of all the three companies, Panalpina World Transport India CEO Markus A Muecke said: "We are very excited about this tie-up, as this enables us to link almost every part of India with the world and also to provide a total integrated supply chain and logistic solutions for our customers."
Safexpress CMD Pawan Jain said: "This tie-up gives the network of Safexpress a global reach to the well-established bases of Panalpina and together with Miebach, this consortium definitely gives us a unique edge over a possible competition."
