Subex Azure to provide fraud management solution to Global Vision Telecom Group

Subex Azure Ltd has won a contract to provide fraud management (FM) and revenue assurance (RA) solutions for Global Vision Telecom (GVT) in Nigeria and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) to be deployed in its Prestel and U-COM Congo CDMA networks.
Telecel International, which is managing the investments for Global Vision Telecom selected Subex Azure''s offering and recommended Global Vision Telecom to acquire the two systems.
Global Vision Telecom, which owns Prestel and U-COM Congo, specialises in the design, installation and operation of emerging telecommunications technology in developing countries.
After acquiring new mobile and unified licenses in Congo and Nigeria respectively, Global Vision Telecom wanted to ensured protection against the high risks of fraud prevalent in the African telecom market, wanted to put a strategy in place to prevent network abuse for its growing subscriber bases in the two countries and validate its processes and ability to charge accurately from day one in these new regions.
Subex Azure will deploy both its Nikira fraud management system and its Moneta revenue assurance system. Using rules-based alarms and artificial intelligence driven pattern matching to identify likely fraudulent usage, Nikira enables operators to detect known fraud types and patterns of unusual behaviour in all telecom environments - wireline (PSTN, ISP, VOIP), wireless (2G, 2.5G, 3G) and across all services (postpaid, prepaid, VAS, MMS, m-commerce).
Moneta is a comprehensive suite of automated revenue assurance toots and capabilities. Moneta offers a set of pre-configured solution temptates to address revenue assurance issues across areas such as service fulfillment, usage integrity, retail billing, interconnect / wholesale billing and content settlement.
