Wipro centres to showcase Microsoft technologies

Mumbai: Wipro Technologies, the IT services arm of Wipro Limited, and Microsoft Corporation are expanding their strategic alliance by opening two Wipro Centers of Excellence in Bangalore and Mysore to showcase Microsoft technologies.
The state-of-the-art centers will offer customers an interactive experience where they can envision and evaluate specific business and industry-based scenario solutions, the company said in a release.
Dedicated Wipro resources would work to integrate the various business communication tools into a single, inter-enterprisewide solution across multiple devices for e-mail, calendaring, voice and telephony, presence, instant messaging and short messaging service, a release added.
The Wipro centers of excellence will focus on solutions and services on windows Vista and Microsoft Unified Communications, the release said, adding, the two companies have made huge investments for customer engagement in sales, marketing and service resources.
Wipro said it plans to expand the alliance with Microsoft to cover new geographies in the Middle East (United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia) as also in North America, Europe and India.
