Zee Network’s food channel Zee Khana Khazana goes on air

Zee Network has entered the niche food channel segment with the launch of its food channel, Zee Khana Khazana.
The channel is the first of the food-focused television channels to go on air. Alva Brothers food lifestyle channel Food First and celebrity chef Sanjeev Kapoor's venture with Astro network, FoodFood are due to launch in 2011.
Zee Khana Khazana is currently available as a pay channel on Dish TV apart from cable networks, priced at Rs15.
The 24-hour food channel will offer a mix of Indian and international content including shows like Khana Khazana, A Touch of Turmeric, Chef's special, High on Food, The Hairy Bikers Cook Book, Saturday Kitchen series and others.
Niche is the way forward in the television space, according to Punit Goenka, managing director and chief executive officer, Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited (ZEEL).
''The channel is the perfect addition to our niche bouquet of Zee Café , Zee Studio , ETC , ZING and Zee Trendz'', he added.
