NTPC-SAIL power invites bids for 15 MW floating solar PV project in Chhattisgarh

NTPC Limited has invited bids for the development of a 15 MW floating solar photo-voltaic project to be installed over the Maroda Reservoir-1 in Bhilai, Chhattisgarh.
Bids have to be submitted online through the government e-procurement portal of NIC (GePNIC), according to an NTPC notification.
The project is being implemented by NTPC-SAIL Power Company Ltd, a joint venture of the two public sector companies.
The tender will follow a single-stage bidding process with two envelopes – one containing techno-commercial details and the other containing details of pricing.
The scope of work includes detailed design of a Grid Interactive Solar PV Plant, including civil, electrical, and mechanical auxiliary systems. This would call for the preparation of essential drawings such as foundation drawings, single line diagrams, and installation drawings, alongside electrical layouts and design calculations.
The project work involves the creation of a Floating Solar PV plant and the establishment of a power evacuation system, including the supply and installation of PV modules in the designated area.
Successful bidders will have to enter into a three-year operation and maintenance (O&M) contract for the solar PV plant and an annual maintenance contract (AMC) for critical equipment.
NTPC-SAIL Power Company has set 24 January for the pre-bid conference, which is the last date for receiving queries from interested parties. Bids- both techno-commercial and price – will have to be submitted on or before 9 February 2024 (1400 hrs). Bids will be opened on the last date of submission (after 1400 hrs).
Bidding documents can be had on payment of Rs22,500 and all bids must be accompanied by a bid security of Rs1 crore, as per the tender notice.
