K V Sridhar to be judge at New York Festivals 2009

K V Sridhar, Leo Burnett's national creative director (better known as Pops), is the only Indian jury member to be a part of the list of judges at the New York Festivals 2009. Pops will play an integral role in judging the Television & Cinema Advertising category.
Now in its 51st year, the New York Festivals's International Advertising Awards has officially made its call for entries for next year. The 2009 awards ceremony will be a three-day event, starting on 13 May.
The NYF Awards recognise work from 71 countries in all media, including television, cinema, print, outdoor, interactive, design, mixed media, collateral, radio and student advertising.
In 2008, the awards witnessed a 23-per cent increase in entries submitted over the previous year.
The Festivals' unique online judging process is carried forth by renowned judges representing 40 countries, handpicked by the Festival's executive directors.
