Syngenta board proposes Stefan Borgas to become new Director

The board of agri-business major Syngenta plans to induct Lonza CEO Stefan Borgas (45) to its board.
It plans to propose Borgas' name to shareholders at the Syngenta AGM on 21 April 2009.
Lonza is one of the world's leading suppliers to the pharmaceutical, healthcare and life science industries.
Prior to joining Lonza in 2004 Borgas worked in various senior international functions for BASF.
Borgas holds a degree in business administration from the University of Saarbruecken, Germany, and an MBA from the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland.
