Four low-intensity blasts hit Pune, one injured

Four low-intensity bomb blasts hit Pune in the evening, injuring at least one person, while the bomb squad defused a fifth bomb.
The first three blasts, in quick succession occurred near Dena Bank, Bal Gandharv theatre within a radius of one km at the Jungli Maharaj Road, the fourth blast was reported from the Garware Chowk.
A fifth bomb was defused near a McDonalds outlet in the city, according to reports.
According to reports, while one bomb was placed in a garbage can, another was on a cycle carrier. Bomb-disposal squads were rushed to the spot following the explosion.
Sources say the explosions were well planned and that wires connected with watches and detonators have been recovered from the spots.
The blast also coincided a planned visit of home minister Sushilkumar Shinde to the Bal Gandharv theatre on Wednesday evening. He, however, cancelled the visit earlier in the day.
