Mobile Asia 2008 concludes in New Delhi

Mobile Asia 2008, India's largest consumer exhibition on mobile phones and accessories, concluded in New Delhi on 3 March 2008. The four-day mega event at Pragati Maidan witnessed over 40 new mobile phone launches
The event organised by the Indian Cellular Association (ICA) was a huge success with the participation of leading mobile companies such as Airtel, Vodafone, LG, Motorola, Nokia, Samsung, i-mate, Intex, Leuci, SanDisk, Scratchgard, Sony Ericsson, Tata Teleservices, World Phone and World Space Radio.
Other companies including, MobiFlexi, Mobi-Junction, Himark Sandisk, and Scratchguard also made their presence felt at the Mobile Asia 2008 with attractive launches for the Indian market.
Leuci, a Chinese mobile phone manufacturer, displayed ten different models with features similar to the phones displayed by the other major mobile manufacturers. Interestingly, Leuci mobiles were priced at only half as much as the prominent brands.
Mr Pankaj Mohindroo, national president, ICA, was happy with the passage of the event and said that he would try to organise more mobile expos in different parts of the country.
The event attracted 2,70,000 visitors over the four days
